Skills Start Here... - Painting a Brighter Future
Jog On Project (Kings Lynn)

The Jog On project, based in Kings Lynn, is a partnership project designed to help homeless and long term unemployed people learn new skills and gain valuable work experience that will allow them to return to employment.  The partners are Norfolk County Council who provide the funding through the Break through project, the Purfleet Trust who provide all-round support to the learners whilst accessing the programme,  Freebridge Community Housing who provide the venues that need redecoration and work placements for learners who successfully complete the training, and Skills Start Here who provide all the skills/health & safety training and employment advice to clients accessing the programme.

Ten learners completed the twelve week decorating/health & safety programme, six of which sat and passed their CSCS card test on completion of the programme.  Two of the six have now moved onto work placements with frebridge Community Housing as part of their property maintenance team.  For further information on the Purfleet Trust and Freebridge Community Housing please click on the relevant link below.
